Survival Of The Funkiest / Reading

Today I read the book "Survival Of The Funkiest". This book was about a young boy named Max and a young girl named Ruby. There was a competition running at school, you had to perform a song or a dance and Max and Ruby went for a song about Recycling. There practices went well and they began designing things for the performance. When they day arrived they were nervous but they ended up winning the competition and they were also given 5 bonus points. Max and Ruby were in shock when the audience clapped and cheered, they couldn't believe it. My opinion on the book is it's a short interesting book to read and I enjoyed reading it, also i would read another book like this. It's a great book. :)

                       

What I learnt about the $2 dollar coin / ASB Getwise

Today I've learnt about MONEY. I have learnt some facts about the people on the money notes and coins bu the $2 dollar coin Is what I have learned about the most. In our groups we had a a money note or a coin and we had to find out who was on it and why, what can you buy with it and how you can earn it. I learnt 3 facts about the $2 coin, the Kotuku bird Is on the $2 coin because it is a royal bird, the new design of the $2 dollar coin was released In 1990 and the $2 dollar coin was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. I had fun doing this task and It was really fun to do.....

Exploring Opportunities / ASB Get Wise

Recently, Room 13 has been learning about Money because the ASB Get Wise programme Is starting this week. We have different tasks to do and this one Is exploring ways to make money. Here's my poster showing ways to make money.

Choices Poster / Inquiry

For Inquiry we are learning about Choices. So far we have watched videos about Choices from inspriational poems. Another task was to make a poster telling 2 choices you have to make. I picked 2 choices you have to make at school. Here Is my Poster.

Family Fun Day / School Activities

A couple of days ago the school held Family Fun Day. All parents and family members could come and meet the teachers and look at our learning. They were selling Sausage Sizzles and Water. You could also participate In some activities. I couldn't make It to the Family Fun Day because I was with my sisters at a netball game but I saw some photos and videos and It looked FUN. Also there was no school yesterday so that was AWESOME.

Hi my name Is Naima and welcome to my blog for this year. I’m 11 years old and a year 8 student attending at Glen Taylor School. My amazing teachers are Mrs Faalili and Whaea Pene. I have 6 siblings and also a few kittens are In our family

I’m Maori and European I’m  6 cultures altogether.  I enjoy watching youtube videos, taking photos, eating and listening to music. I’m pretty good at Literacy, Spelling and Art but not so good at Maths and P.E.

I’m looking forward to my last year In Intermediate and I want to improve on my learning for college next year. I want to be SUCCESSFUL.
